The absorption in a simplified perovskite/silicon tandem stack is calculated using the RayFlare Python package. The stack has been simplified to consist of only three layers: an MgF2 anti-reflection coating, a perovskite absorber, and a silicon absorber. You can also choose whether to include a silver (Ag) back reflector. Each of the interfaces (ARC/perovskite front surface, perovskite/silicon interface, and the rear silicon surface) can be textured with pyramids with an opening angle of 54°. The absorption in each layer, and reflection and transmission losses, are calculated as a function of wavelength which are integrated with the AM1.5G spectrum to calculate the maximum possible currents in each layer.
